Mary is a painter and printmaker, who trained at Bath Academy of Art, Corsham in the mid fifties, studying painting, sculpture and ceramics. She has a wide range of successful teaching experience in schools, adult education and higher Education.

Mary has exhibited with the Arts Council and has work in many private collections. Her work is often set around the landscape of the coast of East Anglia with weather playing an important parting in the rendering of figures and groups and their settings. A recurrent theme and approach is the part played by the weather on land surfaces as well as on the relevant figures. Changing light and the interplay of surface textures of land and figure remain a constant delight and source of inspiration.
