I am a Painter. I teach the drawing painting and printmaking courses every Spring semester and spend the rest of the year in my studio painting. I hold a job share with Frank Shaw who teaches in the Fall. I am British and received my B.A Honors in painting and printmaking from Bath Academy of Art, an Art Teaching Certificate, and MA in Painting from Goldsmiths College London University. I came to the U.S.A in 1987 to study at Yale for an MFA in Painting. It was upon graduation in 1989 that I moved to Kansas and Bethany College. I balance teaching with my work in the studio painting, and battling the elements in my garden. I am active in the studio, show my work, visit museums and galleries across the country and am in dialogue with other artists. All this is essential to my teaching.
