| Jane
trained at Berkshire College of Art and Bath Academy of Art, where
she obtained a Dip.Ed. (Hons) in three-dimensional design. She has
taught art and design at secondary level since then, with break
while her children were young. Jane’s work has always suited the stoneware firing process, with matt and textured surfaces, using slips, oxides and dry glazes. |

| Her subject matter in recent years has been mainly bird forms, with which she has attempted to capture the spirit of the individual by the exaggeration and emphasis of its form. | |
