DAMON BURNARD
Damon
Burnard was born in Lewes, East Sussex in 1963. As a child he liked the Narnia
books, Fattypuffs and Thinifers by Andre Maurois, Tom and Jerry cartoons, fairy
tales, myths and bible stories. He attended the Bath Academy of Art in Wiltshire
from 1982 to 1985, and received a BA (Hons) in Fine Art (Painting). He now works
as a freelance children’s illustrator, writer, cartoonist and painter.
He
has had many books published that he has written himself, but he has also
illustrated books for other authors including Julia Jarman, and Philip Ridley.
He has produced cartoons for Private Eye, The Guardian, and the New Statesman
amongst others.
He now lives in Massachusetts in the
States.
