Carmelo Cauchi art exhibition at St James Cavalier
An art exhibition by freelance artist Carmelo Cauchi is being
held at St James Cavalier in Valletta until 28 February.
Mr Cauchi was born in Malta in 1927 and studied at the School of
Art, Malta; the French Academy, Rome; and the Bath Academy, England.
After teaching art for a while in Malta and later in England, he
embarked on a freelance artistic career. Mr Cauchi has produced
major works, including sculptures and stained glass, that are on
display in churches, banks, schools and civic centres.
The artist has held one-man exhibitions all over England and in
Canada, and his works have also been featured on the BBC and ATV
television stations on various occasions.
The exhibition, which began yesterday, is being sponsored by
Dhalia Real Estate Group, Charts Investments (Floriana), The Farsons
Foundation, Air Malta (UK), Bank of Valletta, Island Insurance
Brokers (Valletta), Castille Hotel (Valletta) and Ristorante
Sottovoce (Marsascala).
