Alex Jorgensen uses a colour spectrum of cool whites, blues and greys to explore light and space. Yet his work retains a powerful sense of the physical environment .

In the larger paintings, strong expressive lines and layers of encaustic combine to form a rich and elemental abstract language. The prints rely on the distilled power of the line to create abstract images of great intensity.
